I’m so grateful that the New Zealand government has taken the decision to end greyhound racing in NZ.
The number of injuries to racing dogs has been high and the industry was placed ‘on notice’ in 2021 to improve.
Obviously, this decision will result in dogs that need to be rehomed and people who will need to find new jobs. I hope that all affected by the decision have positive outcomes and find jobs that bring them purpose and fulfilment.
