Craft, Paper Craft

Anniversary

Wow!! I can’t believe it’s been almost one year since I attended my school friends’ wedding!

Because your one year anniversary is your paper anniversary, what better way to commemorate than with a card?

I decided to use my Tim Holtz Distress Inks for this… So I started with a textured white base card and used ‘Mown lawn’ for the bottom, then ‘salty ocean’ for the sky, with bits of ‘picked raspberry’ to give an indication of flowers in a green landscape in the background. Then I stamped Lili of the Valley ‘Wedding Carriage’ in Versafine Vintage Sepia on to white card, cut it out using a circular Fiscars shape cutters, then inked the edges in ‘Vintage photo’. Then I stamped a cherry blossom branch in Vintage Sepia and fussy cut it. Next I coloured the branch and wedded couple in with Promarkers. I saw on someone else’s blog that they had used the blender pen to create texture on one of their cards – I think it was dragon scales on a cartoon dragon, but I can’t remember now – and I love dappled horses so I gave it a go on the carriage horse & I think it turned out lovely! I attached the branch and carriage to the card with sticky foam pads.
