I had a lovely birthday this week, very chilled out and spent in good company…
I was given some great presents too! So obviously I had to say a big thank you to friends and family 🙂
I knew I had some tag cards left over from when my nieces had come over before Easter and because I’ve never used them for a project before I really wanted to use them.
At a Stampin’ Up! Open Day I went to last year (click here) I saw the Perfectly Preserved set and bought it (even though at the time I didn’t have a die cutting machine I thought it was worth getting both the stamps and framelits dies) but I haven’t used it nearly enough, so I decided to use as many different combinations as possible for thank you cards.
The first card is for a friend of the family who makes lots of jams and preserves… So I made it using the jar inked in black ink, centered. Next I stamped the sentiment in Lucky Limeade over the jar and finally the cut apple and pear stamps along the top and bottom, also in Lucky Limeade. I found the green and gold ribbon in my stash.
The next card I made using Waltzingmouse Big Berries – Strawberry which I’ve used before here, but I love it and it will always get lots of use!
I drew the stitching along the edge by hand so it looks very handmade…
Last but not least are the two cards I made for my Step Sisters – again using the Stampin’ Up! Perfectly Preserved set and the American Crafts Dear Lizzy ‘Thanks A Bunch’ stamp. Inks used were Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Raspberry Ripple and Early Espresso.
