My Grandmother has fallen over & fractured her femur. It was pinned back together and now she is undergoing physiotherapy and rehabilitation. Because of her advanced age, she has very few friends, so she won’t get many cards, so every little helps & I know she will enjoy getting a card.
I started out with a kraft 6×6 base card and envelope. My Granny has a beautiful Chinese cabinet that she loves, so I wanted to re-create it on the card. I used the Waltzingmouse ‘Asian Gardens‘ stamps.
The trellis background and foliage of the tree are stamped in Tim Holtz Mowed Lawn Distress ink, the sentiment and tree are Versa Fine Vintage Sepia ink. The birds have been stamped in Stampin’ Up! Island Indigo ink. Then I positioned the Spellbinders labels over the tree and sentiment and cut them out using my Big Shot.
I used the Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink and blending tool to add colour to the edges of the card and labels, then I let the ink dry overnight.
Last but not least I attached the labels with foam sticky fixers.
