Paper Craft

Thank you

The same friend who asked me to make him a Baptism card also did some cat sitting and watered my Mum’s garden whilst I was in Gloucestershire at the BAPSH Championship, so I wanted to make him a quick thank you card.

I already had an idea for a card that I had wanted to make for the Waltzingmouse Fanatics Challenge #22 – sketch, but as that Challenge closed weeks ago I adapted it a bit. I love the new Stampin’ UP! in colors inks & card stock and the second I saw them I knew I wanted to use them with this stamp set; the Waltzingmouse Stamps ‘Folk Art Medallion‘.

The Medallion is inked in ‘Mossy Meadow’, the flowers in ‘Blackberry Bliss’ and the little leaves etc. are ‘Lost Lagoon’. I used the Spellbinders Circles die to cut out the middle of the folk art medallion and then cut a strip of Hello Honey card stock to fit through the hole, then I stamped the sentiment in Tagelo Twist. I cut into the strip of card at the middle and then cut from the edges to the end of the cut to make a fish tail.

I used roll-on glue to attach the white card to the kraft card base & attached the Hello Honey banner BEFORE sticking it all down to the front of the card.

He LOVES Haribo (who doesn’t?) so I decided to give him some Haribo in a gift box (I wonder where you might have seen this one before?!) and match the gift tag to the card. The tag is the second ‘Stitched Tags‘ die in the set, again in Hello Honey card stock, the reinforcers are from Blackberry Bliss card stock, the sentiment is again inked in Tangelo Twist and attached to the gift box with twine.

Well, that’s all folks – I’m going to crawl into bed to get up fresh to do some more writing for work tomorrow (my work takes up far too much of my life).
