I need to post this quickly before Homeland starts!!!
So I wanted a more traditional Christmas look for my second Christmas card of the swap, I love seeing Christmas trees in people’s windows, with all the baubles & tinsel & lights, then I know it’s almost Christmas…
I used lots of Memory Box dies for this card: ‘Frosted Tree’ ‘Grand Madison Window’ and ‘Grand Madison Window Shutter’.
I cut the window from some Whisper White, the shutters from Real Red and the tree from Mossy Meadow card stock. I lined the window up on some textured white card and then marked the corners of the window and cut just a smidge outside the marked points, then adhered the window over the cut out. Next I adhered the shutters in place. Finally I positioned the tree inside the window, added Quicky Glue to the window frame and stuck the tree underneath the window. I stamped the sentiment from Waltzingmouse Stamps ‘Say It With Style‘ on the texture white card in Memento black ink. I thought it was looking a bit bland and wanted to add some gold baubles, so I found some gold nail varnish & decided to skip the make them on my teflon mat, then adhere & go for STRAIGHT to the card… Unfortunately the first ‘bauble’ had too much nail varnish & just spread! The JOYS of handmade! So the other baubles are the size I was after, but I really feel the big splodge rather spoils the look I was going for…
Wishing you a good week!
