Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you’ve had a good weekend? I’ve had a nice gentle weekend in preparation for my next big experiment that starts on Monday, so I won’t be cardmaking as much as I would like over the next two months, so I apologise for less frequent posts!
Today is my ‘Fairy Godmother’s birthday and I’d like to share the card I made for her with you this morning. She has two adorable cats, so I wanted to make a cat-themed card for her. My kittens just LOVE cardboard boxes (what cat doesn’t??) so I wanted to start with a ‘cardboard box’ for my card and have cats playing in it and around it. I created a card in a box using Neenah Desert Storm card.
I just bought the Clearly Besotted ‘You’re Purrfect‘ stamp set and coordinating dies – they are just adorable!!! So I stamped several of the cats with Memento London Fog ink on Neenah Classic Crest white cardstock and die cut them out. I coloured them using my Spectrum Noir pens.
I die cut several baloons using the Lawn Fawn baloons and streamers from the X cut Build a Scene ‘Garden Party’ from Stampin’UP! card in Rich Razzleberry and Island Indigo.
I attached the cats and baloons to the central strips either directly or with acetate strips. I also used enamel drops to add some dimention.
For the sentiment panel at the back I stamped the Waltzingmouse ‘Say it With Style’ in Memento London Fog ink and attached som bits of streamers to it to tie it in with the rest of the card.
I hope you like this card and found it inspiring!
Sophia this is wonderful. Bet your godmother loved it.
