Bore da blossoms!
Today I’m taking part in another Team Tiny YouTube hop, and I’d love it if you could search the hashtag #TeamTinyIceCreamHop to watch all the videos created to be part of the hop.
Confession: I don’t have anything ‘Ice Cream’ themed in my stash so I needed to buy something in especially for this hop, but I didn’t want to spend too much money as that’s silly to spend loads on supplies for a YouTube hop! (especially as I don’t know how often I will use it again…) So when I saw the MFT ‘Ice cream cone’ die I thought “Bingo!” – it was under £10, obviously ice cream themed, small enough to fit on multiple card sizes (so more likely to be re-used) and because it cuts out the cone and ice cream as separate shapes sooooo easy to use!
My inspiration for this card was Neapolitan ice cream, the Altenew set of four dye inks called ‘Four Scoops’ sealed the deal so I ink blended with ‘Dark Chocolate’ and ‘Cotton Candy’ on my slimline die cut panel.
I die cut my ice cream cones from Neenah Desert Storm kraft card, inked again with the ‘Dark Chocolate’ ink. The ice cream was die cut from Crafters Companion White Stamping card and I spread a layer of nuvo Dream Drops in ‘Cloud 9’ to give it a frosted appearance.
