Wow! I haven’t done much crafting other than my scrap book for ages and then suddenly lots of important card-worthy events loom up on the horizon!!
I must excuse the photography – the flash on my camera has died and so for some reason it seems unable to take good photos, I must get a new one…
The first card is a birthday card for my step sister – I used a store-bought white square card and cut off two corners. The bakers twine and Kraft label I bought from Different Colors at the BSSBS. I inked the edges of the Kraft tag in the limited edition Tim Holtz Distress Ink ‘shaded lilac’ then I wound a length of bakers twin through the hole and tied it in a bow. I used double sided sticky tape and a brad from the Papermania ‘Beautiful’ Embroidered Brads set. Using the Martha Stewart and small Hobby Craft butterfly punches on a 12×12 sheet from K&Company ‘Poppy Seed’ set of Designer Paper – the purple/blue side up for the larger butterflies and the green side with little butterfly designs for the smaller ones. These were attached with Scotch Scrapbookers glue and left to dry. Once dry I added some Liquid Pearls in ‘Lavender Lace’ to the bodies of the larger butterflies to make them stand out more. I bought a pack of flower shapes at the BSSBS last year from Capture the Magic (CAM) and never got around to using them, so I used my bone folder to score the pettals so they could be shaped to ‘bloom’ on the card, then added a pearl to the centre of each one. These were attached to the card with Scrapbookers Glue – et voila!

The next card is the same step sister’s 10 year Wedding Anniversary card! I used the ‘love is’ stamp from indigo blu inked with VersaColor ink in ‘Rainforest’, cut it out and attached to the front of the card with sticky fixers, then used the lowercase letters from the Daisy & Dandelion ‘Penelope & Percy’ letter clear stamps inked in black. I attached pink and pearl gems (10 gems in total – the number of years they have been together!).

Sophia,
Your “Love Is” card, is so beautiful… I love everything about it!
