Awww! My youngest niece is going to infant school for the first time next week!!
Last year I made a card for each of her two sisters because they were starting new schools (one had gone up to junior school and her other sister started infant school), she must have felt so left out still being at Nursery!
I saw this stamp at the BSSBS last year and immediately thought of her – she wouldn’t get the same card as one of her sisters – this one would be as unique as she is!
I used white card for the base, which I stamped with numbers in black ink. I cut a 12×12 card from the K&Company ‘Hopscotch’ stack down to size – I wanted the handwriting practice so the ‘Aa Bb Cc’ was on the front of the card, then I stuck this to the base with roll-on glue so some of the numbers were still visible underneath. Next I stamped the Cherry Cupcake stamp from Wild Rose Studios called ‘Mia Reading’ in black ink on white card and coloured in Promarkers (my niece’s school uniform is purple so I coloured her dress in purple). I carefully cut her out and attached to the front of the card with foam pads and added some hand-written ‘teachers comments’ in metallic gel pens. Inside the card I stamped ‘Good Luck’ from a sentiment set I had.
Cute 🙂
