Change of address card

Well now that I’ve moved home & unpacked a few things (I’m still living in Cardboard City at the moment!!!) I’m sending out cards to my friends to let them know my new address.

I used cream gate fold cards for the base. Using the Memory Box Grand Madison Window die to cut windows out of white card I set the inserts of the window frames aside for later.

I decided which bit would be the bottom of the window and stamped the ‘New Home’ sentiment from Waltzingmouse Stamps ‘A Cottage Home‘ in Island Indigo.

In two of the ‘window inserts’ I stamped the flowers from the Stampin’ UP! ‘Perfectly Preserved’ set, then used the Cannery Set of dies to cut them out. I had some brown Tim Holtz Core’dinations cardstock and cut out the largest of the flowerpots from the Memory Box ‘Garden Pots’ die.

I inked up one end of the smaller gingham stamp from ‘Gingham & Co.‘ with Rasperry Ripple ink and stamped the two remaining window outcuts to make blinds for the window.

I attached the window to the left hand side of the card, stuck the ‘blinds’ in the top window sections, attached the flower pot and flowers and drew in the stems with Lucky Limeade Stampin’ Write markers. The ‘blind’ one the right-hand panel of the gatefold card did a good job of holding the card shut because it was such a good fit in the window cut out.
