Today is a fellow PhD student’s 30th birthday!!!!!!! She is having a party tomorrow, but here is the card I’ve made for her…
I used a grey 6×6 card for the card base. I’ve had the Dovecraft ‘Tea Party’ paper packs and die-cut glitter decoupage pad for ages – what better excuse for cupcakes than a birthday?!
I trimmed the 6×6 paper and attached it to the base card with roll-on glue, then assembled the cupcake with sticky foam pads. I found a piece of purple paper that seemed to fit with the colour scheme and using the Memory Box Parker alphabet and numbers dies created the sentiment. I stuck the sentiment on one of the doiles from the Tea Party Glitter Decoupage Pad and attached a spare cherry too.
Finally I used roll-on glue to attach the sentiment to the card, and then the cupcake over the edge of the sentiment.
