Halloween Treat Boxes

I hope you liked my Spider Curvy Keepsake Box from my last post? Making that really put me in the Halloween spirit, so I wanted to make more Halloween-themed treat boxes!

This time I thought I would use my We R Memory Keepers Candy Box punch board to make some Halloween treat boxes. I cut a sheet of Whisper White card stock to 7″ x 12″. I punched the card along the 7″ edge according to the instructions with the board and adhered it so I had a square tube, then I drew lines over the box to look like mummy wrappings, stuck on large googly eyes with Glossy Accents (Ranger) and finally tied up the ends with some white ribbon.

For the second box, I cut some Pear Pizzaz to the same dimentions as before, assembled the box & attached the googly eyes. Next I drew a thin line just above the eyes and drew on ‘stitches’ along the line. I cut some foil from the kitchen & punched it using the punch board, then attached it to the box ends with Glossy Accents (I didn’t apply any Glossy Accents where the card would need to fold once closed so this area was still bendable), then when this was dry I tied up both ends with green & white bakers twine from Hempatique.
