As a single person I don’t really celebrate St. Valentine’s day, but the Simon Says Stamp ‘Hey Love’ release is soooo adorable, who couldn’t help but be inspired?
First I used the Stampin’UP! box die to create a box base out of Neenah Desert Storm card. I used my Simon Says Stamp love background stamp and Stampin’UP! Sahara Sand ink to create some subtle pattern on the box base.
The i die cut the love outline die from black card and the love word die from white card several times and created a stack of ‘loves’ and adhered them to the outline die, then positioned this on one of the box base panels.
The heart is the one that came with the box die. I originally cut hearts from reds and pinks, but on such a small surface it looked too busy, so I stuck with three hearts from Red Riding Hood card.
When I was happy with the positions of all the hearts and the sentiment I stuck them to the side of the box with HI-Tack glue and assembled the box. Last, but not least I popped some chocolates in and tied up the opening with some black and white ribbon.
Let me know if you get any St. Valentine’s Day treats/cards tomorrow in the comments section below!
