MFT Camp Create Glitzy Glitter

Hi Everyone! Phew! I’m really suffering in this heat! Apparently tomorrow will be cooler though! Even the cats are flopping down and just lying on the floor all the time, so they must be feeling it too!

Today I’d like to share my ‘Glitzy Glitter’ card for the MFT Camp Create 2017. I used the MFT denim background stamp again (love it!) stamped in Stampin’UP! Midnight Muse ink on Neenah solar white card stock. I die cut a stitched border from the Lawn Fawn ‘Stitched Borders’ into the denim background, but because the background is so busy you can’t really see it (it is there!).

I die cut the ‘Smart Phone Dienamics’ from silver card and black card. I used a permanent black pen to colour the silver card in the bits behind where the cut outs for the speaker and home button would be so they would be black too when the die cut was placed over them. The piece of black card that was the ‘screen’ on the smart phone I covered in Nuvo glue, then sprinkled over Nuvo Pure Sheen glitter in white.

Whilst I was waiting for the glue on the screen to dry I die cut the text message bubble from some pale blue card and stamped the sentiment from the MFT ‘More Essential Sentiments’ in Archival Ink on it.

I shook off the excess glitter on the screen and used Hi-Tack glue to attach the speech bubble over the glitter on the screen so it wouldn’t move, then I covered the screen and speech bubble with glossy accents to give the appearance of glass and left it to dry overnight.

Once the glossy accents had dried I assembled the smart phone and adhered it to the card front, I then added some nuvo Crystal Drops in ‘Silver Lining’ to accent the silver in the smart phone.

What do you think? I think it’s really sparkly!!! This would work really well for a man though as it’s not too glittery and sparkly, so quite a unisex design.

I hope you’ve liked my creations for MFT Camp Create 2017. Come back soon to see what I create next!
