One of the PhD students in my lab has her Viva Voce to defend her Thesis on Monday 27th – eeeek!!!!! So I wanted to make her a good luck card to wish her well…
I cut four of the smaller Sizzix ‘Hearts #11’ shapes out of green card with my Big Shot. I scored down the middle of the four hearts with my bone folder, then I cut a tiny strip of card to make the stem.
Using the Lili of the Valley ‘Statements Just to Say‘ good luck sentiment I inked it in Versa Mark Watermark ink at the top of a black card, then I heat embossed it with Cosmic Shimmer Persian Sea Aurora Embossing Powder.
When the embossing powder had cooled I wiped the card with a cloth to get rid of the lovely blue/green shimmer left on the card when the embossing powder just sits on it so the sentiment popped. Then I attached the ‘stem’ of the clover with Quickie Glue and the ‘leaves’ on one half only with roll-on glue to give the card some dimention.
