I’m flabbergasted that it’s my Granny’s 94th birthday this week!
One of my neighbours has some gorgeous flowers outside their front door, so I used this as my inspiration for her card:
I started off with an A6 textured white card base & some Stampin’ UP! ‘Pool Party’ card stock, that I stamped with the woodgrain stamp from ‘Way Out West‘ in ‘Smoky Slate’ ink.
I die cut the medium of the ‘Stitched Tags‘ die set from white card stock and stamped the sentiment from ‘Folk Art Label 25‘ on it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
I stamped the ‘Simple Sprig‘ in Lucky Limeade on Pistachio Pudding card stock and die cut it with the matching die set. The largest flower from ‘Two Step Floral Sprig‘ was Crisp Cantaloupe and Calypso Coral ink, the smaller flower was either Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple and Strawberry Slush inks or Rich Razzleberry, Elegant Eggplant and Wisteria Wonder. I fussy cut the flowers, then arranged them on the card before attaching everything with roll-on glue.
I hope my Granny likes this card & I hope you like it too!
A close up of the tag.
I will be entering this card in the Waltzingmouse Fanatics Challenge #21 – Anything Goes.
Another fabulous entry – love how you were inspired by your neighbours flowers. Hope your granny has a fabulous birthday 😀
Thanks for joining the Waltzingmouse Fanatics again 😀

Thank you Tara! I just love driving past their flowers every morning to work, it makes me smile every time I see them & if it makes me smile, hopefully the inspiration will shine through in the card…
It’s Granny’s birthday tomorrow so I’ll have to shout down the phone (she’s a bit deaf!) to wish her a happy day x
I think your card is absolutely stunning! The colours are so warm and rich, and so nice to have great inspiration close by. Thanks again for your support of Waltzingmouse Fanatics!
Its so nice to get inspiration from everyday things that sometimes we took for granted. Great flowers and great card. Happy birthday to Granny! She’ll sure be happy to receive your card.
