So I know what you’re thinking – what happened to card #4? Well I thought it was better to post 4 cards on time and one late than 3 cards on time and two late, so I used the card I made for World Card Making Day 2014 as card #4…

I love my IndigoBlu stamps and I feel like I haven’t used any of them in forever, so I fished them out & the ‘Snowflakes‘ caught my eye. I used this stamp to make Christmas tags last year, it was quick and easy and as I needed a card in a hurry I decided to repeat the same technique with different colours and some embelishments.
I stamped the ‘Snowflakes’ in VersaMark ink on a piece of 14 x 9.5 cm white card twice and heat embossed it with Seafoam White embossing powder. Using ‘shaded lilac’ Distress Ink I added colour to the card & it made the white embossing really stand out. Then I attached this to the front of a A6 card base.
A few weekends ago I went shopping for Christmas dies & got really excited about my Feliz Navidad die, but I also got two Cheery Lynn Dies saying ‘Happy Christmas‘ (B214) and ‘Merry Christmas’, so I used the former for this card. I used Centura Pearl cardstock, which always makes me think of picture perfect snow.
I cut a piece of 6 x 9.5 cm Centura Pearl card, then a piece of 5 x 9.5 cm white card. I inked the white card with ‘tumbled glass’ Distress Ink, then adhered it on top of the Centura Pearl card, then positioned this on the card front where I wanted the sentiment panel to be and stuck it down.
The largest snowflake is a punch, the other snowflakes are from the ‘Snowflakes’ die by Cheery Lynn Designs (C146). The sentiment and snowflakes were stuck on the blue sentiment panel with Quicky Glue.
Phew! Now I can get on with making cards for my friends and family and buy some Christmas presents – last minute, moi? 😉
