Birthday card using Art Impressions Old Goat stamp set

I LOVE this stamp set – the images are adorable and the sentiments are soooo punny! I shared this set in a Simon Says Stamp haul video on my YouTube channel from last year that you can see here. This card is for my Step Dad and it’s his birthday today.

First of all I stamped the image of the group of goats on some Neenah Classic Crest card using my stamp platform so I could stamp it twice to get a crisp image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, which is alcohol marker friendly. I think Toggenburg goats are really cute so I wanted to colour these goats as Toggenburgs. I coloured my goats with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, the colours I used were ‘white’ hair: BG1 and BG2, ‘dark’ hair BG3, BG4 and BG5, inner ears and noses FS6+BG1. Hooves and horns: GG2 and GG3. Eyes: GB4 and EB3. Outline: IB1, grass: LG3.

I die cut the image using the largest Inside & Out Stitched Rectangle STAX dienamics by MFT. The sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and I die cut it using a speech bubble from Lawn Fawn cuts ‘A Birdie Told Me’. I adhered both to a premade 6×6 ‘chalkboard’ black card base from Dovecraft using tape runner for minimum bulk.

I stamped the sentiment from the same set inside the card with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. It reads ‘old goat’ – me, rude? Never!!

Here is the finished card:
